Terms of Service

Effective: April 21, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using FaithBeacon (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use FaithBeacon. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Your Account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it updated.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User Content

"User Content" means reviews, church submissions, information reports, and any other content you post on FaithBeacon.

  • You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant FaithBeacon a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it within the Service.
  • You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of posting it.
  • You represent that your User Content is truthful, accurate, and does not infringe anyone's rights.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post content that is false, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or discriminatory
  • Impersonate any person or entity, including a church
  • Submit fake churches, reviews, or other content designed to deceive
  • Use the Service to promote spam, scams, or illegal activity
  • Attempt to access another user's account or our systems without authorization
  • Interfere with the Service (e.g., scraping, automated access, reverse-engineering)
  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right

6. Moderation

We review user-submitted churches and reviews before they become visible. We reserve the right to remove or refuse any content, and to suspend or terminate accounts, at our sole discretion. Decisions are made in good faith but may occasionally be imperfect.

7. Reporting Concerns

If you see content that violates these Terms, you can report it using the in-app "Report" features or by emailing support@faithbeacon.com. We take reports seriously and will review them promptly.

8. Third-Party Services

FaithBeacon uses services from Supabase, Vercel, Google, Mapbox, and Resend. Your use of FaithBeacon is also subject to these providers' terms. We are not responsible for the content or practices of any third party, including churches listed on our platform.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY OF USER CONTENT, CHURCH INFORMATION, OR SEARCH RESULTS. FAITHBEACON IS AN INDEPENDENT PLATFORM AND IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH, ENDORSED BY, OR REPRESENTATIVE OF ANY CHURCH, DENOMINATION, OR RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FAITHBEACON AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile page. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of FaithBeacon after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
